VACANCIES—PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT A LARGE MANUFACTURING and importing company wishes to appoint a suitably qualifled person to its executive staff. The company which is a subsidiary of a large overseas organisation services a New Zealand wide market and has plans for the expansion of activity within New Zealand. The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include managerial, administrative and accounting duties. As assistant to the General Manager he will be a member of the top management team. At the same time he will as chief accountant be responsible for budgeting and management reporting and all accounting functions. The position would suit an experienced qualified person who is looking for greater challenge and participation in the day to day management of an expanding company. Alternatively the position could constitute a real opportunity for a younger highly qualified person to achieve a top position at an early age with scope for promotion. Applicant's qualifications should include membership of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, together with a sound knowledge of Cost Accounting and preferably some practical experience in this field. Because of the executive nature of the appointment particular emphasis will be placed on the personal qualities required for leadership and good staff relations. Starting salary will depend upon qualifications and experience but will be a minimum of 83500 and for an exceptional applicant could be as high as $5OOO p.a.
