Bankrupt In Prison
Because Allan Wallace West, of Invercargill, had not filed his statement of affairs, the meeting of his creditors was adjourned until February 1 by the Official Assignee (Mr J. 8. K. Curran) yesterday. West was in Paparua Prison at present and he had been unable to get particulars to complete his file, Mr Curran said. West was adjudged a bankrupt on January 10. He did not attend the meeting.
Smallpox Vaccinations. Health authorities yesterday ordered the mass vaccination of Aden inhabitants after discovering a smallpox case, the first since an epidemic there in 1931.—(Aden. January 22.)
