Guerrillas Attacked
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BANGKOK, January 21. Thai Air Force planes are strafing and bombing a force of about 100 Communist guerrillas entrenched in the mountain ranges of Thailand’s north-eastern Nan province, on the border with Laos, reports received in Bangkok said today. The reports said the guerrillas consisted of Communisttrained Meo tribesmen, Chinese, North Vietnamese, proCommunist Pathet Lao, and Chinese-trained Thais, who had infiltrated into the province through Laotian territory. After one recent fierce engagement between Thai Army troops and the guerrillas in which one army sergeant and 10 Communists were killed, one of the dead guerrillas was found to be wearing a Chinese uniform with documents establishing his nationality, the reports said.
