Tito Calls For Bombing Halt
<,VZ P A.-Reuter —Copyright) PHNOM PENH (Cambodia), Jan. 21. President Tito of Jugoslavia has called for a halt to the American bombing of North Vietnam, “as soon as possible and without any previous condition,” as a prelude to peace. In a speech at a public rally in his honour in Cambodia’s national sports stadium in Phnom Penh. President Tito strongly condemned American “aggression” in Vietnam.
The Cambodian Chief of State (Prince Norodom Sihanouk) and members of the Cambodian Cabinet attended the meeting, at which President Tito was made an honorary citizen of Phnom Penh.
President Tito said his talks yesterday with Prince Sihanouk “resulted in a broad identity of views on international problems.”
