HEPATITIS IN KAPONGA
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 17. Seven cases of infective hepatitis have been reported in Kaponga (population 500) in the last three weeks. The Health Department office in New Plymouth has sent pamphlets to householders describing the disease’s symptoms and precautions to take. No cases have yet been sent to hospital. The Kaponga Town Clerk (Mr R. C. Miles) said today the town council was concerned at the outbreak.
