Breast-Milk Bank

(N Z Preti Allocation) HAMILTON, Jan. 16. A breast-milk bank which will be established at the Waikato Hospital may be the first in New Zealand. It will be set up in the hospital’s Campbell Johnstone maternity wing to make sure of a ready supply of such milk for premature or side babies. Milk in the bank will be deep-frozen and stored until required. The deep-freeze unit is expected to be installed at the hospital soon.
