Tanner Cup To Moves C.V.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA. The brilliatft 14-year-old Auckland P class yachting representative, J. Moyes, has won the Tanner Cup, the interprovincial trophy for the class. Yesterday at Tauranga, Moyes won the fourth and fifth races to give him such a points lead over Marlborough, the nearest competitor, that even dropping his fourth place in the first race and staying ashore in the final race today he cannot be beaten. Moyes led soon after the start in both races to sail untroubled by any opposition. Results:— Fourth Race.—Auckland (J. Moyes), 1:33:55, 1; Bay of Plenty (N. Wilson), 1:36:51, 2; Marlborough (L. Kennedy). 1:41:30, 3; Canterbury (P. Stemmer), 1:41:26, 4: Wellington (R. Coutts), 1:47:51, 5; Manukau (D. Lewis), 6. Then came Otago, Nelson, Wanganui-Manawatu. Seven did not finish. Squash Win.— J. Barrington, an Irishman, has won the British amateur squash championship for the second successive year, playing against doctor’s orders. He beat M. Corby (Britain), 9-3. 9-6, 2-9, 9-5, in spite of a strained shoulder.
