THE SEAWAY PRINCESS, the Northern Steamship Company’s latest vessel, which is due at Auckland from Hong Kong (where she was built) on January 25 and at Lyttelton on February 2. Built for the Onehunga-Lyttelton roll-on, roll-off service, the Seaway Princess will trade between Auckland and Lyttelton until the Onehunga terminal is completed. She will carry 750 deadweight tons of cargo on 45 trailers and will take six to eight hours for a complete turnround at each port. The 1200-ton Seaway Princess will be the sixth New Zealand vessel in the roll-on, roll-off service. The others are the Aramoana, Aranui, Wahine, Maori, and Hawea.
