Boy Swept Into Rip
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 3. | A five-year-old boy is presumed drowned after being swept into a strong tidal rip at Paremata this faternoon. He was Glenn Douglas Ford, of Porirua. He was swimming in the bathing area near the bridge when he was taken out into the deep channel and carried under. Boat owners, skin-divers and police divers searched Porirua inlet until dusk.
House Sold.—A weatherboard bungalow on a 24 perch section at 167 Idris Road, which was passed in at public auction on December 18, has been sold privately. The house has three bedrooms, a lounge, and a sun porch. The auctioneer was Livingstone and Company, Ltd.
