SCOTTISH TOUR
Mr Kirk’s Programme (Special Crspdt. N.Z.PA.) LONDON, January 3. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) will spend a week in Scotland before settling into a London programme organised by Britain's Labour Pary headquarters. Mr Kirk will arrive in London on January 13 and on the following day will travel to Glasgow for a six-day tour I arranged by the Central Office i of Information.
His itinerary includes visits to the Glasgow Development Area, Strathclyde University, the Loch Awe hydroelectric station and the Hunterston nuclear power station.
The programme also includes a “pilgrimage” to Ayr. Mr Kirk will return to London on January 21. The following day he will visit the International Wool Secretariat, have lunch with Foreign Office and Commonwealth Office officials, and make his first visit to Labour Party headquarters, which is organising his programme until January 26. Mr Kirk will leave London on January 30.
