Beauty Problem Hints
Wrinkled hands, heavy jawline, unruly hair, shaggy eyebrows, tired eyes, one or other of these small but irritating problems affect many women at some time or other. Dealing with them is relatively simple once you know the answers—so here are some aids. Thick, heavy eyebrows that tend to look shaggy—what is to be done if plucking is not the answer? Pluck brows like these from
underneath only, and remove straggler hairs. First, brush brows straight up towards the hairline, so that you can spot stray hairs. Pluck out stray hairs growing beneath browline, and brush brows smooth. Short, unruly hair which springs into a halo round your head after washing can be made sleeker by using a conditioning cream. This helps to make fly-away hair more manageable. Hands are a great problem to some women, especially when they are wrinkled. They can add years to a woman whose face is quite soft and young. Hot water, strong soaps, and washing powders affect
the skin of your hands. Rubber gloves are essential for many wet jobs, and old cotton or leather gloves for dry, dirty jobs. At night, cream hands well and wear cotton gloves to keep the cream on while you sleep. A heavy jawline can be minimised by skilfully applied make-up. Shade down the size of jawbone with a darker-toned foundation than one you normally use. Bring side hair at jaw level forward in a loose curl towards your chin. To train the curl, damp with setting lotion and pin, or press them into place with sticky tape.
