Mr Rae To Retire
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. Mr B. R. Rae will retire at the end of the month from his post of Secretary for the Civil Aviation Administration, after 41 years of public service. Mr Rae, secretary since 1964, joined the Public Service in 1926, and transferred to the R.N.Z.A.F. in 1940. where he served as financial advisor to the New Zealand Government, with the Commonwealth Air Training Scheme. After the war he was appointed Trade Commissioner at Melbourne, and from 1950 to 1953 was trade commissioner at Montreal. He then succeeded the late Mr T. A. Barrow as Air Secretary with the Air Department.
