Contracts Let By Board
The contract for the second section of the Sockburn area sewer reticulation has been let by the Christchurch Drainage Board to E. O’Sullivan at $27,925.44. It was the lowest of five tenders which ranged up to $41,385. Other tenders accepted by the board were:
Supply and installation of the main electrical switch board at the No. 15 trade waste pumping station, Thos. L. Jones and Son, Ltd, $14,371.10; No. 46 pumping station in Wainoni, John Butcher, Ltd, $10,119.30; concrete invert, Wai-iti Stream, Hooker Avenue, E. G. Risdon, $2758; Tuam Street stormwater renewal, J. C. Haworth and Sons, Ltd, $7789.40; Te Awakura Terrace outfall improvements, S. C. Johnston and Sons, $1306.75.
