KORMANS IN FACTORS

More Buying Apparent (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 12. Members of the Korman family appear to have increased their holdings in Factors, Ltd, by close to 200,000 shares during the last few months, says a report in the “Australian Financial Review.” Factors is the last remaining profitable listed unit in the Korman empire. The largest single increase has been in the holding of Mrs Sylvia Korman, ot Melbourne, according to a recent search of the company’s share register.

Rise In Holding

The register shows that since the beginning of November, Mrs Korman has acquired more than 177,000 shares, swelling her total interest in the company from 56,540 units to 233,890 units.

Mr Hilel Korman, managing director of Factors and of the company’s main subsidiary, Holeproof Industries Ltd, New Zealand, has lifted his holding from 185,900 to 206,200 in the last few months. Mr Hilel Korman sold 100,000 shares early in the year. The shares went to a number of separate holders. The biggest Korman holdings in Factors are still those of two main family companies, Park Lake Pty, Ltd, and Banyule Australia Pty, Ltd. Both holdings have remained unchanged since heavy buying by the Korman interests two or three years ago. Banyule is the largest single shareholder in Factors with 3,018,010 shares. Park Lake has 416,868 shares.
