(N Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright) SUNDERLAND, (England). Nottingham Forest the English first division soccer club, has paid £lOO,OOO to Sunderland for J. Baxter, a Scottish international wing-half.
He has become Britain's sixth £lOO,OOO player. The others are D. Law (Manchester United), T. Hateiey (Liverpool), A. Birchenall (Chelsea), M. Jones (Leeds United), and A. Ball (Everton).
Sunderland signed Baxter from Glasgow Rangers on May 5, 1965, at a fee of £72,500 sterling. Baxter is 27 and holds 32 Scottish caps.
