Bombs Offered For Auction

WELLINGTON, Dec. 8.
Two German “egg” bombs, one live, were offered to a Wellington auctioneer for sale in a sale today of war souvenirs.
They were removed by the Army authorities. At the sale Peter Read, compere of Wellington television’s “Town And Around” programme, paid $lO9 for a German lieutenant colonel’s tunic, cap and belt. Top price at the sale was $l7O, paid for an automatic .12 gauge shotgun.
