SMITHFIELD MARKET
Much Weaker Undertone (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. With the increased pitchings after the settlement of the London dock strike, prices for New Zealand lamb settled at a lower level at London's Smithfield market this week, the Meat Board reported. In spite of the cessation of pitchings of all South American frozen meat, there was a weaker undertone to the market generally. Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:— Price Var'n d d per lb per lb PRIME.—
