HAMILTON, Dec. 1.
Petitions seeking support for a move to obtain permission for wine retailers to sell wine by the glass for consumption on their premises appeared in wine shops all over the country today. The petition will be on display until January 20, when it will be forwarded to the Government, along with submissions.
The petition would be available only in wine shops and no signatures would be canvassed, the president of the Wine Resellers’ Association (Mr I. Pearce) said today.
