Tombs) PHONE 40-539 STC CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL ELECTRICITY EXTENSION LOAN 1967. 8670,000 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Council held on Thursday, the 9th day of November, 1907, the following resolution was passed and it will. be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held in Thursday, the 7th day of December. 1907, at 5.00 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 104 Manchester Street:

"THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1950, and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) it in that behalf enabling the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the “Electricity Extension Loan, 1967" of an amount of Six Hundred and Seventy Thousand Dollars (*670,000) for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council’s Electricity Undertaking subject to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be ten years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and threequarters per cent per annum. (3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over the term as determined tn Clause 1 hereof. (4) The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. (5) The rate payable for brokerage In respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof . shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. (6) No money shall be bor-' rowed after the expiration of three years from the date of the sanction of the Local Authorities

(7) That the security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon shall be a special rate of .083565 cents (decimal nought eight three five six five) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that a poll of the ratepayers is required to be taken if not less than five per cent of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch so demand, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution as set out above.
