AUCKLAND, December 1. The price of beef and lamb will rise by perhaps 2c and lc respectively next week.

The rise is the result of increased overseas demand since devaluation.

The president of the Auckland Master Butchers’ Association (Mr G. Holborow) said today: “We have been forced into this by an increase of about $1.50 per 1001 b in the export schedule because of devaluation.”
