7 Africans To Die

Seven Africans were sentenced to death in the High Court here today for alleged terrorist activities.
The seven, said to be members of the banned African National Congress of South Africa and Rhodesia’s banned Zimbabwe African People’s Union, were said to have been captured during engagements between guerrillas and Rhodesian security forces in August.
Two Rhodesian soldiers a white lieutenant and an African sergeant major—died during the clashes.
The condemned men will join about 90 other Africans awaiting execution in Rhodesia.
