Hippie Mother On Charge
(NZPA.-Reuter—Copyright; DENVER (Colorado), November 29. A young hippie mother has been charged with murder in Denver for killing her two-year-old son with a wine bottle. The county judge went to Denver General Hospital to advise Mrs Carol Metherd, aged 25, of her constitutional rights before filing the murder charge.
She is under treatment at the hospital for suspected after-effects of hallucinogenic drugs. The boy had been stabbed in the chest and abdomen with a broken wine bottle, the handle of which still protruded from his body. His wrists had also been cut.
