PROMOTER IN AUST.
(N.Z. Press As»n.—Copyright! SYDNEY. The professional tennis promoter, Mr G. McCall, of the United States, said yesterday that he had to come to Australia to have talks with the Australian professionals, K. Rosewall and F. Stolle, and to arrange forward tour dates for 1969-70. Mr McCall denied reports tht he was considering signing the four top women players in the world to strengthen the professional circuit. “I will talk to Margaret Court and Billie Jean King simply to sense out their feelings on open, or professional competition. “But, make no mistake, the idea of the women appearing during our title matches is one which has a great deal of appeal to my group,” he said.
