Garry Dillon Leased

The 1965 New Zealand Cup winner, Garry Dillon, has been leased by the Canadian trainer, D. McNutt He will leave for his new quarters later this week. Garry Dillon gained 12 wins and 13 placings worth $22,402.50 for Messrs E. B. S. Grey, of Christchurch, and J. H. Shaw, of Invercargill. Garry Dillon has paced the occasional good race this season when attempting to stage a come-back, his best effort being a third to Humphrey and Stereo Scott in the Smithson Handicap, run on a soft track on the second day of the cup meeting.

McNutt has also secured a two-year-old colt by Morris Eden from First Belle. He is a half-brother to Tunnel Road and John Craig, the lastnamed being an outstanding winner in Sydney.
