Party For Aged
About 75 elderly men and women were guests at the Christchurch Business and Professional Women’s Club’s annual “honouring age” party recently. A magician, Mr P. Pollitt, a piano accordionist, Miss M. Coffey, and the Chisnallwood Intermediate School choir and orchestra provided the afternoon’s entertainment. Guests were given transport by club members, and each received a small Christmas gift. Club members seek out elderly persons in the community who are living alone and are not able to get out very often.
