Compromise By Fishermen
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 28. The Auckland Fishermen’s Association today decides, after a three-hour meeting, to withdraw its embargo on taking plastic containers to sea. The members agreed each to take 10 containers to hold the smaller snapper required by Japan. But unless the boat owners agree, this move by Auckland’s 100 share fishermen may not succeed in getting the 40-boat fleet to sea. It has been tied up since the week-end.
