OVERSEAS TRADING
SYDNEY Falls outnumbered rises on the exchange yesterday. Leading mining stocks were the most affected with Hamersley, Great Boulder, B.H.P. and .Gold Mines of Kalgoorlie, all recording significant falls.
Western Mining lost 40c to 3000. In the Investment section B.H.P. took off 25c to ISIS, while C.S.B. continued its downward trend to 450 c. E.Z.I. was marked down 71c to 349.
Thiess fell 30c to 435, and Peko Wallsend sold 52c easier at 634.

MELBOURNE Industrials eased with fails well in excess of rises. E.Z.I. dropped 70c to 355 c in further reaction to the company’s unsuccessful search for nickel. B.H.P. lost 15c to 1620 c. After reaching a record 700 c yesterday. Peko reacted to close 40c lower at 650 c. Oils eased. A.O.G. down 15c to 255 c. Santos, however, gained 10c to 255 c after a further gas strike in South Australia.
