Provided the staff-student ratio is reduced, extra administrative and specialist staff I are provided and an adequate [assembly hall is built, the ■ Hillmorton High School i Board is prepared to allow its 'roll to grow to 1100. This ! was agreed last evening. Answering the Education Department’s request, made through t h e Secondary Schools’ Council, for boards’ ideas on optimum rolls, the headmaster (Mr P. W. Murdoch) said much depended on the contributing area, length of stay of pupils, and the space for buildings and sports. Hillmorton's contributing area was expanding rapidly to the south-west.
