McCormick Having Treatment
A training accident on Monday involving the team’s only specialist full-back, W. F. McCormick, could embarrass the All Blacks in their test against Wales at Cardiff on Saturday. McCormick was getting over a fence to retrieve a socce ball when he felt something “give” on the right side of his ribs. He had felt sore in the area since the match at Leicester 10 days ago. There is no suggestion at present that he will not be available for the test but if he cannot play the selection could be interesting. He received treatment for the injury later in the day. The Wellington utility back, G. F. Kember, has played twice at full-back on the present tour and will have his third game in this position against West Wales today.
