AMMUNITION DUMPING
About 400 tons of obsolete Army ammunition will be dumped 60 miles off the coast of Canterbury by H.M.N.Z.S. Endeavour early next year. The two trips will take place at the end of January or early in February between the Endeavour’s two voyages to the Antarctic. The Army had no comment to make when asked about the ammunition involved.
