Chairman’s Record
The council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association last night re-elected Mr A. J. Donaldson as its chairman for a record ninth term. There was a cnange in the post of deputy-chairman, the recently-elected national president (Mr M. R. Duckmanton), defeating Mr G. S. Brockett in a ballot. In a further ballot, Messrs Brockett and S. Williams defeated throe other candidates for seats on the executive. The chairman, deputy-chairman and treasurer (Mr J. H. Turpin), will complete the executive and will also serve on the council's committees. The composition of the committees is: Championships.—Messrs Duckmanton (chairman), R. A. Stewart, G. G. Pratley, W. S. Hodge. D. W. Cain, Mrs R. Ironside, Miss D. Brown. Coaching.—Messrs Williams (chairman), N. R. Chambers, C. A. Harrow, N. F. Robertson, R. A. Stewart, D. F. Stewart, J. Breward and Miss Brown. Tours.—Messrs B. E. MacKenzie (chairman), H. T. Dean. K. Wilton. Robertson. Duckmanton, Miss Brown and Mrs Ironside.
