The Very Rev. A. H. Hyde, of Auckland, who will give annual retreats for priests of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Christchurch at the Redemptorist Monastery at New Brighton this month. The first retreat is being held this week. Father Hyde, who was ordained in 1929, has been parish priest of St Benedict’s, Auckland since 1959. He gave the diocesan clergy retreat in Fiji in 1961, and the retreat for ordinands at the Holy Cross College, Mosgiel, in 1964.
