Soraya To Miss Melbourne Cup
(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. Nov. 6. Princess Soraya announced last night she would not visit Melbourne to see the Melbourne Cup. She had decided to return to Europe. She will fly home to Munich as soon as she recovers from the illness which has confined her to bed in her suite in a Sydney hotel. Her decision was announced by Mr Peter Morrison, from the Cornucopia Committee, which has sponsored the Princess’s visit to Australia. Mr Morrison said he did
mot know the nature of her illness or if it was serious. “But I know she has been seen by at least one doctor, and on medical advice will stay in bed today.” he said.
