Gibbes To Race In Aust
The former Australian international scrambles and trials rider, A. T. Gibbes, who has been living in Palmerston North for the last four years, will be returning tn his homeland to compete in the three international motocross meetings there this month. , He will accompany the three official New Zealand representatives, G. Holland (Christchurch), I. Miller (Blenheim) and M. Sherriffs (Palmerston North), who will also race at all three meetings. Gibbes, Sherriffs and Miller will leave from Wellington
tomorrow. Holland will leave from Christchurch Airport on Thursday. The second-highest prizemoney winner at the recent Halswell 100 Grand National moto-cross, Gibbes is the chief organiser of the New Zealand international motocross series, extended for the first time this season to take in Australia. He is responsible for bringing out the three visiting internationals, G. Lindstrom (Sweden), J. Roberts (America) and J. Lewis (Wales) who will race at meetings in both countries.
