Mediation Requested
(NZP-A.-Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, Nov. 6. The Vice-President of America, Mr Hubert Humphrey, yesterday officially asked the Indonesian Government to mediate a settlement of the Vietnam War.
The Cabinet secretary, Brigadier • General Sudharmono, told the press that Indonesia would accept the offer, provided both warring parties agreed. He quoted the Acting President, General Suharto, as saying to Mr Humphrey that the Vietnam war could only be solved if all parties involved sincerely wanted an end to the war.
