FAIRLIE INJURED

(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. I The leading New Zealand: lawn tennis player B. E. Fairlie, of Auckland, has delayed for a week his departure toj Australia for the spring State tournaments there because of an injured thigh muscle. He was to have left for Australia yesterday, but will not go until next Sunday. This means that he will miss the first tournament in the circuit Queensland, but be expects to be fit for the New South Wales, Victorian and Adelaide contests. Fairlie has been receiving treatment for his injury for the last fortnight and has not been playing tennis. He hopes to begin light training this week.
