West-University Gains Its Second Win

Another outstanding performance by R. C. Motz, who on Saturday took seven wickets for 65 against East-Shirley, gained his side a 10-wicket victory and took it to second place in the senior cricket championship after the first two rounds.

Motz’s figures of 15 for 115 were the best returned in senior cricket since R. H. Scott took 15 wickets against Technical Old Boys in the 1946-47 season. The record for the most number of wickets taken in a i senior match is 17 hy ‘ R. J. Read in 1917-18.
