Pitney For Pot
The pop singer, Gene Pitney, said in Invercargill on Sunday night that he approved of marijuana. “The whole world seems to be smoking marijuana nowadays,” he said. At present in the United States there were four test cases being heard to try the legality of its use. “Although I’m no judge, there does seem to be a huge difference between marijuana and LSD.
“But definitely avoid taking LSD,” he said. Pitney was starting his fifth New Zealand tour.
