The daughter of the British Foreign Secretary (Mr George Brown) spurned superstition by marrying on what is traditionally regarded as the unluckiest day in the calendar.
Miss Patricia Brown, aged 25, whose wedding day fell on Friday, October 13, was an unconventional bride in another respect—she wore an emerald green cape.
Her other clothes included a white lace dress, l|in above the knee, and a pair of acid pink lowheeled shoes.
The bride arrived at the civil ceremony—hatless—on her father’s arm to wed 38-year-old Mr Derek Knowles, a buyer in a London chemical firm.
