Big Whitebait Consignment
(N.Z. Press Association) HOKITIKA, Oct. 16. The largest single air consignment of whitebait so far this season left Hokitika this afternoon when 25001 b, mostly from South Westland rivers, was sent to Wellington. Some good catches were reported in the Hokitika river this morning. Yesterday one trench fisherman secured 1201 b, and a scoop fisherman netted 801 b. The price on the riverbed is $1 a pound.
