MAN HURT IN ATTACK
$5OO In Bag Not Taken (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 16. A Titirangi dairy owner was attacked and injured last night as he was walking with his week-end takings from his shop to his house only about five yards away. Mr M. Simpson had locked his shop about 8.30 p.m. when he received a glancing blow on the head and the right shoulder with a blunt object. He did not see his assailant. A spade missing from a neighbouring bouse was later found with a broken handle near the scene. A bag containing about $5OO Which Mr Simpson was carrying was not taken.
