Vegetable And Fruit Prices

Cabbages were in plentiful supply at the Christchurch produce markets yesterday. They sold from 30 cents to 70 cents a case. Old potatoes were available at prices to $2.80 and new potatoes from $3 to $3.60. Lettuces from Nelson, Oamaru and local growers were in supply at the markets. Shipments of Nelson lettuces sold from $1 to $2.05 a case, Oamaru lettuces from 80 cents to $1 and local grown supplies from 30 cents to $1.20 a case.
