Trust Control Supported
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. Wainuiomata residents voted overwhelmingly in favour of trust control of a proposed tavern. Of the 3153 votes cast, 3136 were for trust control, 22 were against and five informal. A further 300 special votes are still to he counted. The Licensing Control Commission earlier this year granted Wainuiomata a second tavern licence.
Wigs For Troops.—A Paris hairdresser is providing long wigs for servicemen to hide their short back and sides when they come to town on leave.—Paris, October 15.
