Overseas Shares Depress Market
The overseas list depressed the share market on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. New Zealand shares were firm, but over all issues falls shaded rises. Trading was light over a narrow range.
B.H.P. lost 40c, to 1335 c. A.C.I. was another Australian stock to lose ground, falling 11c to 314 c, In the New Zealand list Crothall lost 13c to 222 c. Other falls were small.
National Insurance gained 4c, to 274 c. Other good rises were N.Z. Petroleum, up 5c to 50c, and N.Z. Refrigerating 5c higher to 90c. Skellerup. at 495 c, and Tasman, at 555 c, rose 5c each.
