Bars Open At Trots
Patrons at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday had the use of bars until 10 p.m. v for the first time at a trotting meeting. Officials of the club were most satisfied with the results. They-said they felt there had been a big reduction in drinking in the car parks. The racecourse inspector (Mr F. Pine) and a number of policemeii made regular patrols of fife packed bars, and reported no problems. The meeting attracted a large crowd, but betting showed a sharp decline.
