Biscay Wins First Race (Special Crspdt. NZ P 4 > MELBOURNE. Biscay, a two-year-old colt having his first race, lowered the Australian half-mile record by seven-tenths of a second when he won the Debutant Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday. Biscay led all the way in 4S 4-Ssec. The previous record was OSisec set by Proud Miss. His time wss four-fifths of a second outside Gloaming’s world record set at Riccarton more than so years ago.
