Laramie Top Weight In N.Z. Cup
Laramie, an unlucky second to Fremont at Trentham on Saturday, is top weight with 8-10 in the New Zealand Cup, which will be run at Riccarton on November 4.
Casiarook is second top weight with 8-9. He finished brilliantly for third under 8-2 in Royal Bid’s New Zealand Cup last year, and beat several of the top stayers in the Wellington Racing Club Handicap, one mile and a half, in January. The Mosgiel-owned and trained Middy is the Stewards’- Handicap top weight, also with 8-10. Closest to him are the northerners. Royal Chase and Serena, both with 8-9, and Feiramor with 8-6. High Delight, a close second to Mannix in the Wellington Guineas, has been given 8-5. NEW ZEALAND CUP
