Demonstration Threatened

The guard at the battered Chinese Embassy was doubled today after rumours that militant Indonesian students planned to launch a violent demonstration demanding the break of diplomatic relations with Peking. But the China town, where the Chinese Embassy is situated, was quiet and there was no sign of any. demonstration. Indonesia has told China that it has to remove all its Embassy staff from Djakarta if it wants Indonesia’s permisison to evacuate Chinese diplomats injured in attacks on the Embassy two weeks ago.
