Statement In Athens

A Greek Government spokesman has said that Parliamentary life would be restored in Greece by the end of 1968, the “New York Times” News Service reported. His announcement was the first specific timetable for a return to constitutional government that any member of the present regime has made so far.
One important qualification was . his emphasis that the timetable was not a formal commitment.
It was his understanding of what the Government intended to do, he said.
