Rival Design Of Briquette
(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, Oct. 13. A retired design engineer, Mr G. S. Edlin. ot Ngakawau, is confident that he can produce a briquette which burns slowly, is much cleaner, and has a better heat than the present type being produced at the Ngakawau plant He said it-Could be the answer to complaints by the Christchurch Clean Air Society of excessive smoke from the article used in that city. Mr Edlin’s idea is to use sawdust instead of pitch with coal to make a completely combustible briquette.
